I once said to someone that computers would never be smarter than people. He vehemently disagreed, despite not really knowing enough about AI to argue, and I couldn’t really articulate a reason other than “It really just can’t happen. People won’t let it, and tech will never get to the point of a direct recreation of the human mind.” It was rather unsatisfactory for us both.
I’d like to pretend that this article is what I meant, but I never thought about it deep enough to get there. In any case, it’s a good read if you’re interested in or worried about the topic.

Why do people even have tumblrs if all they do is reblog?

What people reblog says a lot about them.

Imagine your favorite actor/author/athlete/politician/role-model/etc. Whatever. Now imagine they have a tumblr and all the do is reblog what other people blogged. It can be more revealing than their own (self-censored) material. If Schwarzenegger is reblogging tons of weed-related posts, that says interesting things, no?
